TGIF :) We hope everyone stays cool this weekend!
There’s something about an Ikat print that just screams summer! We adore the pattern for its ability to infuse your wardrobe with a touch of playfulness and eclecticism. Since this print can be a bit bold for some, you can tone it down by pairing with solids, like Miranda Kerr does with her Ikat pants. Depending on your style, you can have as much fun with the print as you like. A dress is always an easy way to wear this trend, like this Benson Short Shirt Dress which is so cute and perfect for a summer lunch date!
With the sun shining and the temps slowly rising, that can only mean one thing—it’s time to hit the beach! If you’re in need of cute summer outfit that will take you from the shore to the sidewalks in seconds, consider this stylish ensemble we’ve put together.
The Meghan Los Angeles strapless cotton lace dress is the epitome of casual chic and screams summer. It will look absolutely fabulous worn over your bikini as a cover-up or simply on its own. And of course, you can’t head to the beach without a roomy tote! We love this R&Em Franky Vegan Tote which features an irresistible zebra print and is animal-friendly so you can feel good while looking good carrying it. Boost your height and make your legs look their very best with these Lisa for Donal J Pliner Kalino wedges which gives the outfit a funky twist. Finally, finish off the look with a statement necklace, a wide brimmed hat, and some chic sunglasses.
Would you wear white from head to toe this summer? We know many of you may shy away from this, but we love the look for its crisp, clean feel. Nothing says summer more than white clothing! If you wear all white, we recommend mixing up the textures to give your look more depth. Pair a lacy or silk top with white jeans for an effortlessly chic ensemble. If the thought of wearing all white still makes you cringe, you can team a white top with a neutral bottom like khaki or vice versa. You’ll look fabulous either way and will have the quintessential summer outfit!
Breezy summer days are right around the corner, and we can hardly wait! We’ve compiled some warm-weather essentials that will help you conquer the season in style.
Who loves short shorts? We love short shorts! Bare your beautiful gams this summer in a pair of stylish shorts that flatter your silhouette. We’re huge fans of shorts because they’re super versatile, and they can create the illusion of mile long legs if styled correctly. Plus, they’ll keep you cool during the sweltering summer heat. The important thing to do is to experiment with the proportions and see what works best for you.
If you want to go a sophisticated route, stick with a simple, neutral, tailored pair that will keep you looking polished and can be dressed up with heels and an elegant silk top for a night on the town. Since you’re showing more skin on the bottom, we suggest choosing a top that offers more coverage to balance your look.
Weekends are the time to experiment with new trends and fashion, so why not try brightly colored or printed shorts to mix up your wardrobe? It may be too bold for the office but it’s perfect for your off-duty hours. We simply adore Julie Brown’s printed shorts. You can pair these with a simple solid colored tee for a chic warm weather ready look that’s casual cool. Mixing prints is very hot right now so you can go more bold and sassy by pairing with a complementary print.
Short shorts aren’t for all of us, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bare your legs at all. If you want more coverage or want to be taken more seriously in shorts, we suggest trying a knee-length short such as the Atkins double stretch short from Ecru. You get the best of both worlds with this type of short since you get to show off your legs without feeling overexposed. This silhouette is especially good for those with a pear-shaped body.
No matter your shape or age, there’s a pair of shorts out there for you! Let’s all unite and show off our legs this summers :) If you need some styling inspiration, take a look at the way celebs have been rocking their shorts.
